Venice

A vibrant neighborhood known for its creativity, progressive views, and blend of beach and city living.

Welcome to Venice

The vibrant neighborhood of Venice has always been associated with creativity and progressive views and it’s long been a well-known haunt for the original, eclectic, and artistic. Situated in West LA, just a short distance away from Mar Vista, Palms, and Santa Monica, Venice has a rich history characterized by periods of prominence, downturns, and eventual rejuvenation. With just the right blend of beach and city living, it's laid-back vibe attracts people from all over the world. It doesn’t matter if you’re a starving artist or an A-list celebrity; Venice welcomes everyone with open arms, just as people have embraced the neighborhood time and time again.

Originally known as “Venice of America,” Venice was founded by tobacco magnate Abbot Kinney in the early 20th century. The area, which was once marshy, was transformed into a seaside resort town, its streets lined with Venetian-style buildings. Gondolas carried passengers in canals that meandered throughout the town. An amusement pier was also constructed, which generated a lot of buzz that made Venice a tourist attraction.
